During a generational session, I take time to photograph the larger group portrait but also break it down into meaningful smaller groupings: grandparents with grandchildren, siblings together, or parents with their grown children. These combinations give families a variety of images to cherish and share.

Grandmother is the one whose love, wisdom, and strength have carried generations. During generational portrait sessions, I always like to get some single portraits of the matriarch.
