Children & Family Photography Sessions
Children and family photography is perfect for on-location sessions. Our region offers a rich set of possible locations throughout the year - complete with beautiful flowers in spring, parks and shorelines in summer, foliage in autumn, and snow in winter! All seasons offer unique opportunities to create stunning family portraits. All of our sessions are completely customized for your family, and geared toward the goal of producing fine-art portraiture that will leave your friends and family talking. Contact Jennifer to discuss your session ideas.
Children and family photography sessions are $200 for the first hour. Sessions may be extended by purchasing additional time in half-hour blocks at the rate of $50 per half hour. These rates apply to sessions involving ten or fewer people. Rates for groups greater than ten are $250 for the first hour and $75 per half hour for extra time. The session fee includes my time and talent in capturing beautiful photographs, as well as the pre-session consultation, photograph editing, the viewing appointment, and establishment of your private online gallery. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to book a session and schedule the pre-session consultation. The remainder of the session fee is due at the time of the session. The session fee excludes parking or entrance fees associated with on-location sessions. Clients may pay for these on the day of the session or elect to have them added to their final invoice.
During the session, other forms of photography or image capture are prohibited. At the end of the session, we will discuss scheduling the ordering appointment. These usually occur about two weeks after the session. Your private, online gallery will be made available after the ordering appointment, and will remain accessible for a minimum of 60 days. This gallery allows your friends and family to review the photographs, and facilitates the purchase of any gift prints. The images uploaded to your gallery will be stored by Jennifer Jule Studios for one year from the date of the session. After this period the images may be deleted without notice. Longer-term storage options are available, but must be arranged in advance of the one-year anniversary of the session.
Most outdoor sessions occur just prior to dusk to capture the warm glow of the setting sun. In the summer months, this time of day can have the occasional thunderstorm. Very often these, and other, rainstorms produce amazing light after they move through a given area. Sometimes, these storms even leave behind a rainbow as a backdrop! Safety always comes first and decisions related to the suitability of the weather for an outdoor session are the prerogative of Jennifer. She keeps very close watch on the weather and will contact you if she finds it necessary to reschedule the session. Bear in mind that the light available on overcast days is far more favorable for photography than that available on bright, sunny days. Should rescheduling become necessary, we will work with you to identify a mutually agreeable makeup date. In most cases, these makeups occur within two-weeks of the original date of your session.
