Equine Portrait Sessions

Equine portrait sessions create stunning and dramatic portraits between horse and equestrian. The striking images are accomplished by relying on experience, forethought, and coordination. Jennifer is a lifelong horse enthusiast and has competed in hunters and combined training events. Her equine experience unite with her knowledge and skill as a professional photographer to capture the unique bond between horse and rider. Sessions typically take place at sunrise or sunset. Stylized sessions feature elegant elements including formal, show, arena, or classic attire. Depending on your selected location, you may wish to add a black background session which focuses on the beauty of the horse. You are never too young nor too old to create a timeless portraiture.

Session Fee

Equine sessions are $250 for the first hour. Sessions may be extended by purchasing additional time in half-hour blocks at the rate of $50 per half hour. This fee includes my time and talent in capturing beautiful photographs, as well as the pre-session consultation, photograph editing, viewing appointment, and access to your private online gallery. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to book a session and schedule the pre-session consultation. The remainder of the fee is due at the time of the session. The session fee excludes any parking or entrance fees associated with on-location sessions. Clients may pay these on the day of the session or elect to have them appear on their final invoice.

General Policies

During the session, other forms of photography or image capture are prohibited. At the end of the session, we will discuss scheduling the ordering appointment. These usually occur about two weeks after the session. Your private, online gallery will be made available after the ordering appointment, and will remain accessible for a minimum of 60 days. This gallery allows your friends and family to review the photographs, and facilitates the purchase of any gift prints. The images uploaded to your gallery will be stored by Jennifer Jule Studios for one year from the date of the session. After this period the images may be deleted without notice. Longer-term storage options are available, but must be arranged in advance of the one-year anniversary of the session.

Weather Policy

Most outdoor sessions occur around dusk. In the summer months, this can be prime-time for thunderstorms. Very often these, and other, storms produce amazing light after they move through a given area. That notwithstanding, safety always comes first. Jennifer makes all decisions related to the suitability of the weather for an outdoor session. She keeps very close watch on the weather and will contact you if we find it necessary to reschedule the session. Rescheduled sessions are rare, and can usually be completed within a couple weeks of the original date of your session.
